What is integrity?
According to the dictionary, integrity is 1.Strict personal honesty and independence. 2.Completeness; unity. Meaning, when a man has integrity, his words and his actions match up. I am who I am, no matter where I am or who I am with.
Unfortunately, integrity is passing out of existence today. Personal standards are falling in a world that has taken to hot chase of personal pleasure and shortcuts to success. A person with integrity does not have divided loyalties (that’s deceit), nor he or she is just pretending (that’s hypocrisy).
People with integrity are whole people; they are having or concentrating on one aim or purpose. These kind of people have nothing to hide and nothing to fear. Their lives are like open books; willing to reveal anything about themselves, say what you see is what you get.
Always make sure that your good character isn’t lost. Integrity is the glue that holds our way of life together for instance, as a a good musical composition does – the words and the music must match and compliment each other. So as a reminder, constantly strive to keep your integrity intact.
